OBITUARY: 
BUTTE--At the home, 2620 Lee street, Thursday, September 30, 1915, Wilhelm Butte, at the age of 71 years. Wilhelm Butte was born in Germany in 1844. He was a veteran of the Franco-Prussian war in 1871 and war of 1866. He came to Oregon via the isthmus of Panama in 1872, and has been a resident of Salem ever since. He was a member of the Herman Sons. 
Surviving him, besides the widow, Mrs. Madelene Butte, are five sons: Rudolph of San Jose, Cal., William, Chris, Carl, and Henry of Salem, and two daughters, Mrs. A. E. Finlay and Miss Anna Butte, also of Salem. Funeral services will be held at the residence, 2620 Lee street, Saturday at 2 p.m., with interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Rev. George Koehler of the German Lutheran church will officiate.
