OBITUARY: ANDO -- Japanese Lady Dies. A Japanese lady, wife of James Hirokawa, died at the Salem Hospital at 11:15 o’clock last night, of a complication of ailments. Very little could be learned about the case, not even the age of the deceased.

WILL CLOSE TODAY -- James Herowka, the proprietor of the Model Restaurant, says his wife is not dead. The Japanese lady that died was a friend of his family. He says, however, that the restaurant will close all day today, out of respect for the deceased.
