1910 Census - James Calavan, age 59, 2nd marriage, farmer, b. Oregon, is enumerated with his wife of 1 year (her 2nd marriage), Maggie M., age 54, mother of 9 children, b. Iowa, along with Virgil Anderson, identified as step-son [of James], age 19, b. Oregon, and Maude Anderson, age 12, b. Oregon [step-dau.];

OBITUARY: 
OLD PIONEER LAID TO REST -- The funeral of James M. Calavan, a resident of Woodburn for the past year, who died in this city Saturday at the age of 71 years, was held today from the Rigdon chapel at 2 o’clock, the Rev. W. T. Miliken officiating. Interment was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Mr. Calavan was born in Linn county, his parents being among the earlier settlers in the Willamette valley. He was in poor health for nearly a year before his death occurred. The deceased was the husband of Mrs. Maggie Calavan and father of J. M. Calavan of Downs, Washington, J. L. Calavan of Oakdale, Washington; Mrs. S. Page of Salem and Mrs. C. E. Eckhart of Wilson, Washington.

Calavan of Oakdale, Washington, Mrs. S. Page of Salem, and Mrs. C. E. Eckhart of Wilson, Washington. Funeral services will take place Monday, August 22; at 2 p.m. from Rigdon's. Rev. Milliken officiating; concluding service I.O.O.F. cemetery.
