Verla Elnore [sic] Cannon, 62, of 5355 River Road N. died Tuesday in a local hospital from an illness. She was born in Michigan and was a self emplyed bookkeeper. Survivors include mother, Grace Hill, Salem; daughter Kathryn Ann Cannon, Clarence, Iowa; son, Douglas Cannon, Salem; sister, Belva Balentine, Salem. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Salem Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Rigdon-Ransom mortuary.
