OBITUARY: 
Mary Olive Catterlin, 97, a native of Marion County and member of a pioneer Oregon family, died Friday at a Salem hospital.
Her grandfather, A.J. Davie, who came to Oregon in 1842, was one of the men who voted to establish civil government for Oregon at Champoeg May 2, 1843.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rathael Catterlin, of Berkeley, Calif., and Merlin H. Catterlin, of Eugene, and three grandchildren.
Services are pending at Howell-Edwards Funeral Home.

Late resident of Turner, Ore. Oct. 16 in a local hospital at the age of 97 years. Survived by sons, M.H. Catterlin, Eugene; Raphael Catterlin, Berkeley, Calif.; grandson, Loma Christianson, Eugene; 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be Mon., Oct. 19, 2 p.m. in the W.T. Rigdon Chapel. Interment, City View Cemetery. Rev. W.C. Hartford officiating.
