A. B. Colbath Funeral Today
Funeral services for Alfred B. (Bud) Colbath, 73, long-time Salem resident who died in a local hospital Wednesday, following a short illness will be held from the Howell-Edwards chapel today at 2 p.m. The Rev. Seth R. Huntington will officiate and interment will be in the IOOF cemetery.
Colbath, late resident of 585 S. Commercial St. was born at Oregon City in 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Colbath, early Oregon settlers. A resident of Salem for more than 50 years, he was a charter member of Salem carpenters' union 1065 and had followed the carpenter trade all his life. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Cammilia Lott of Salem, and two nephews, Cyril B. Colbath and Benjamin Colbath, both of Salem.
