BIOGRAPHICAL:
"The name of my father's first wife was Susan A. Marsh. Father married her on April 18, 1850, when he was about 23 years old. After the death of my father's first wife he married my mother, Helen S. Gregory, whose father, David Gregory, went to California in 1849."

"Charles Knox Cranston lived in Pendleton, Oregon at the time of this interview, and had been a resident for 35 years. He was the chairman of Oregon's first fish and game commission, as well as secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of Pendleton and helped start the Happy Canyon festival. "By father's second wife he had two children - my sister Lida, and myself. Lida is executive secretary of the Alameda County Travelers Aid society, with headquarters at Oakland." DIED--Mrs. H. S., wife of Mr. Warren Cranston of Waldo Hills, aged 47 years. The funeral next Thursday at 10 o'clock a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery.
