OBITUARY: Elizabeth Cronk, Ex-Resident Dies.
Elizabeth Jane Cronk, 91, resident of Oregon for the past 48 years, and a Salem resident for the majority of that time, died yesterday at Portland, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Buchtel, 5319 SE Lincoln street, according to word received here last night.
She was born at Salem, N.Y. Jan. 12, 1847, and was married to Benjamin Cronk at Arenac, Mich., Oct. 6, 1866. When Mr. Cronk died here in 1927, she went to Portland. Besides Mrs. Buchtel, she leaves three grandchildren, Chester Buchtel, Mrs. Bebeta Bocki and Mrs. Loraine Bernard, all of Portland, and a niece, Mrs. Ida Troy of Salem, Ore. Mrs. Cronk will be buried in Salem in the family plot at IOOF cemetery following services Friday at 2:30 p. m. from the House of Holman, East 27th and Hawthorne boulevard, Portland.
