Petition dated: May 4, 1908: "That it is the desire of your petitioner that she be authorized by this Honorable Court to cause a monument to be erected at the grave of the deceased, in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery at Salem, Oregon, and also to have said grave enclosed with a cement curb, at a cost of not to exceed two hundred dollars." Nancy C. Fowler, Adm. Accordingly, a grave was dug by James Plant for $5.50 and curbs placed. See probate file for additional information.

OBITUARY: TO BE BURIED HERE.
A. W. Fowler died at Dallas, Friday morning, March 13th.
Deceased leaves a wife and one son. He was a resident of South Salem for about 15 years, moving to Dallas about three years ago. The funeral will be held at Dallas at 10 o'clock this morning and the burial will be at the I. O. O. F. cemetery of Salem, arriving at the cemetery at about 2 o'clock.
