OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Nellie Curl, of this city, after a somewhat protracted illness, passed to her rest the 22d inst. Mrs. Curl was left a widow with one child by the death of her husband, the late C. G. Curl, some five years ago, and when she has had to fight the battle as best she could, for the maintenance of herself and daughter, and right nobly has she wrought. 
For several years she has been a successful and popular teacher in the public schools of the city. She was a graduate of the Willamette University, of the class of ’64. Her father is the Rev. Mr.Stipp, a Baptist clergyman now living near ____in Linn county. In the prime of life in unnaturally frail constitution, through exhaustive labors and incessant cares for the little girl committed to her keeping, ____ victim of the fatal disease consumption, at the age of thirty-six. The funeral took place from the Baptist church in this city on Sunday afternoon, and large ___ of her friends met to pay the last respects to one whom, in life, was greatly ____.
