OBITUARY: 
James G. Daugherty, 54, of 1555 20th St. NE, died Tuesday night at Salem Hospital Emergency Center of a heart attack suffered at home. 
A native of Salem, Daughtery had worked 36 years at the Dole Co. cannery. He was a foreman. He was a former member of Salem police reserves. Surviving are widow Mary E., son Allan of Salem; stepson Louis Patterson of Eugene; stepdaughter Mrs. Peggy Giersch of Salem and Patricia Patterson of Carpinteria, Calif., brother Neil Daugherty of Eugene; sisters Florence Williams of Portland and Bonnie Ploeber of Redwood City, Calif.; four grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Interment will be in City View Cemetery [sic].
