W. Henkle, informant Nettie Squires of Portland, Oregon.

OBITUARY: G.B. Davidson of Buena Vista, who died Saturday, February 25th [sic], 1912, was born in Peoria, Ill, October 15, 1840. He crossed the plains to Oregon in 1849 and settled at Dayton on a homestead where he spent the early years of his life. He was married to Marinda DeHaven, at Fairfield, Oregon, in 1863. To this union ten children were born of whom seven are living. Mr. Davidson has resided at and near Buena Vista for many years. His death came Saturday as the result of a long illness.
Monday morning short funeral services were conducted at the home after which the remains were taken to Salem and interred in the IOOF cemetery. He was over seventy years of age.
