OBITUARY:
John, L. Edwards, 82, of 235 Salem Heights Ave. SE, died Thursday in a local nursing home. Born in Frankfurt, Kan., he lived in Salem since he was five years old. He worked until retirement as a tailor for Sears Roebuck & Co. and was a member of the Court St. Christian Church. Surviving are his widow, Addie; brother Claude, Salem; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Howell-Edwards mortuary, Rev. Robert Hayes Mulkey officiating, with interment in Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
