DEATH TAKES MRS FARMER
Mrs. Clara Farmer, a longtime resident of Salem, died Friday at a Salem nursing home after a long illness.  She was the widow of Ray Farmer, pioneer Salem hardward merchant.
Mrs. Farmer was a member of the First Methodist Church and was active in Sunday school work in that church in former years.
Her husband for many years operated the Farmer Hardware Company at Court and N. Commercial streets.
Three sons, Clifford, Ivan and Lloyd Farmer, all preceded Mrs. Farmer in death.  The sons were associated with the father in the hardware firm.
Survivors include a grandson, Ray Farmer, Portland and several nephews.  Funeral arrangements are in care of the Virgil T. Golden Mortuary.
