OBITUARY: MRS. ELLIS DIES AT OREGON CITY
Relatives, Residents of Salem - Funeral to be Here Sunday.
In Oregon City yesterday at 10:30 oÂ’clock occurred the death of Mrs. W. R. Ellis, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Elgin, and several brothers and sisters are residents of Salem. Charles F. and Harry Elgin, of the city recorder’s office, and also George M. and C. W. Elgin are brothers, and Mrs. H. E. Chipman is a sister. Other sisters are Mrs. E. H. Cravan of Dallas, and Mrs. H. H. Hewitt of Albany. A husband and three children also survive Mrs. Ellis.
Charles F. Elgin was at the bedside when his sister passed away. The funeral will be held in Salem Sunday. Complete arrangements have not been made, but the remains probably will arrive here on the 11 oÂ’clock Southern Pacific train and the cortege proceed directly to the cemetery from the Depot.
