OBITUARY: On Minto's Island, near Salem, October 20th, 1873 of typhoid fever, Nellie Gates, aged 14 years. Deceased endeared herself to all with whom she became acquainted. Kind, loving and affectionate to a fault, she was double dear to those who knew her best. Funeral will take place at one o'clock today from the South Salem M. E. Church.
