OBITUARY:
Mrs. Gile Passes Away.
The wife of H. S. Gile of this city passed away at Arcachon, France, yesterday morning. This news was conveyed by cable to Walter Jenks. Mr. Gile, the well known wholesale man of this city, has been, with his wife, traveling on the continent, since the marriage at Victoria B. C., something less than a year ago. The many friends of the couple will hear with great regret of the death of Mrs. Gile. The deceased was Miss Margaret Clark of Victoria, and had been in Salem a number of times. Tuberculosis was the cause.
