ELLEN BATT GODFREY
Mrs. Ellen Batt Godfrey, 85, died Sunday at her home, 1955 Dallas Rd. N.W. Born in Salt Lake City, she lived in Salem since childhood and was a former teacher. She taught in the old Lincoln school in Salem. She was a member of First Christian Church, Chadwick Chapter of Order of Easter Star and PEO. Survivors include stepdaughter Mrs. Curtis Peyton, Portland; sister, Mrs. Kate Elgin, brothers P. G. Batt and Roger Batt, both Caldwell, Idaho; and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Barrick funeral home.
