OBITUARY: 

Mother of Mrs Frank Dies at Home in Stayton
Salem – Mrs. M. C. Grierson, widow of the late Dave Grierson who for many years resided near Salem, died at her home in Stayton Wednesday afternoon and was buried in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Salem Sunday afternoon. She was well known by many of the pioneers of Salem. 
Mrs. Grierson was 66 years of age at the time of her death and a native of Marion county, Illionis. She settled in Salem with her husband in the early 80’s and lived here until about nine years ago when she moved to Stayton. Her husband died nearly 20 years ago and was buried in the Odd Fellows cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Florence Frank of Independence and Mrs. W. E. Lynch of Cambridge, Idaho, also one son living in Stayton. Dropsy is said to have been the immediate cause of her death.
