OBITUARY: Emerson L. Harris, aged 65, member of a pioneer family of '53 who settled near Rickreal, died at a local hospital Oct. 28. He is survived by his widow, Argyl, one son, Laden (sic), one daughter, Greta, and Mrs. Marion Allen, sister, all of Oak Grove, and Mrs. E. R. Heise, sister, of Salem, Mrs. W. M. Putnam, sister, Monmouth, and Mrs. W. S. Kelly, sister, of Portland. Oregon Statesman 25 Aug 1903 6:4. The funeral of Emerson H. Harris, will be held from the Oak Grove M. E. church this morning at 10:30, Rev. Oliver of Salem officiating. Interment IOOF cemetery. Webb Funeral Parlors in charge. Oregon Statesman 30 Oct 1926 5:5.
