1900 OR CENSUS - Sarah Harris, age 39, mother of 13 children 6 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Jul 1860 in Indiana, is enumerated with her husband of 23 years, Ruben M., age 52, occupation farmer, b. Oct 1847 in Indiana, along with Isabelle, age 12, b. Jan 1888 in Nebraska, Emma M., age 10, b. May 1890 in Nebraska, and Minnie L., age 8, b. Mar 1892 in Oregon.

OBITUARY: 
Harris- At the family home in Polk county, one and one-quarter miles west of Salem, Friday, March 16, 1917, at about 2 p.m., Mrs. R. M. Harris, at the age of 56 years.
Mrs. Harris became ill several months ago but has recently been improving in health and her death came as a sudden shock. She was a member of the Women’s Relief corps.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Harris leaves the following daughters: Mrs. Della DeSart and Mrs. Carry Peck of Norton. Or.; Mrs. Minna Clark and Mrs. Anna Schoppert of Salem and Mrs. Eva Dingman. She also leaves a son Ed Harris and a step son, Frank Harris, both of Dallas.
The body will be in charge of Webb & Clough. Funeral announcement will be made later.
