OBITUARY:
MISS OPAL HATCH PASSES AWAY
Beautiful Daughter of Veteran Mail Carrier, Suddumbs to Heart Falilure
The many friends of Miss Opal Hatch were greatly shocked by the announcement of her death at 1:30 Sunday morning. For more than two months she had been ill from heart trouble, and while it was known that her condition was serious, the announcement of her death was a distinct shock to her friends.
Opal was 16 years of age, and was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hatch, her father being the well known city mail carrier. She was the neice of B. F. Kumler, another of the city carriers, and was also a neice of Mrs. Isaac Manning. She was one of the most univerally beloved young girls in the city, popular with her classmates and a bright student. Cheerful and loving throughout her long illness--the closing weeks of her life are remembered as a benediction.
The funeral will be held today at 10 o'clock from the home at 636 North Front street, Rev. W. H. Selleck officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
