OBITUARY: A SUDDEN DEATH.
Sunday Nes. B. Hayden, living at the well known Hayden place near Eola, was taken to Forest Grove to receive treatment in the Keeley Institute for a complication of disorders. The acute attack which prompted taking him there was epilepsy and he was in a helpless condition when he arrived there. In the evening a message was received by Mr. Davey in Salem saying that Mr. Hayden was dead. Yesterday Mr. Davey went to Forest Grove and sent the remains to Salem last evening.
The funeral will occur at the home of Mrs. Hayden in this city at the corner of Union and 15th streets at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The burial will be in the Odd Fellow's cemetery.
Deceased formerly practiced law in Salem, being associated with William Holmes. He was a man of much brilliancy but did not stick well to the law business. He was about 38 years of age. For some time he has made his home on the Hayden farm. He was well known throughout this part of the state.
