Man on Street Struck by Auto
Ira Ballard, 48, transient, received a leg fracture and head lacerations when he was hit Sunday, at N.E. Union avenue and Holladay street by a car operated by Roy L. Knight, box 518, according to police records.
Knight was cited for failure to yeild right of way to a pedestrian.

OBITUARY: 
BALLARD--Ira Ballard, late resident of Gervais, route 1, at a local hospital, Thursday, October 31, at the age of 59 years. Survived by a son Lorran Ballard, in the U.S. Army. Services will be held Wednesday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clough-Barrick chapel with interment in the IOOF cemetery.
