Former Salem Girl Passes 
Mrs. Frank M. Brown returned from Portland yesterday where she went to attend the funeral of her cousin, Lulu Gilbert Herren, who passed away in that city on Wednesday. Mrs. Herren was a Salem girl, having spent her girlhood in this city, her maiden name being Lulu Gilbert, daughter of Marietta Stanton Gilbert and I. N. Gilbert, old time pioneers of this state.
