1880 CENSUS - Henry C. Hunt, age 37, b. Iowa, is enumerated with the family of James M. Holsten.

OBITUARY: 
HUNT - Near Salem, at the poor farm, Wednesday, April 9th, 1890, Henry C. Hunt, aged 46 years.
The deceased was an old soldier, having served three years in Co. G., 1st Oregon cavalry. His was a complication of diseased contracted through exposure and other hardships during the war. He has some relatives in Portland, to whom, Mr. McCormick, superintendent at the farm, has telegraphed, and unless they desire to take the body to Portland, it will be buried tomorrow by the Grand Army men of Sedgwick post.
LATER - Mr. McCormick informs us that the funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, under the auspices of the Sedgwick post, G.A.R., whose members are requested to meet at that hour.

At the Marion county poor house, April 9, 1890, of heart desease, H. C. Hunt, aged 47 years. The deceased had served faithfully in the army and had been greatly afflicted for several years. He was admitted to the poor house Sept. 17, 1887. The funeral will be conducted to-day.
