DISCREPANCY - IOOF register and obit state date of death as Feb 10th; Rigdon records and marker as Feb. 9th.

Spouse: Amanda Crandall, died abt 1861.
PARENTS: Albert G. and Mary W. Hutton,
Sgt - 1st Oregon Cavalry, discharged 18 Nov. 1864
Was enumerated at OSIA in 1880.
Rigdon - John Hutton, died 10 Feb 1895, age 70, ordered by P. W. Raymond, burial Rural Cemetery. Probate File is a guardianship for an insane person and intestate. Insane since 1862, in the Oregon State Asylum past 6 years. Guardian, J. S. Cooper was appointed 6 Aug 1894. John P. Hutton was age 58 years in 1894. He died 9 Feb. 1895. Heir: Ida Hutton Vaughn, only child and next of kin. Mary Hutton, wife and mother of Ida, died intestate in January of 1892.

OBITUARY: 
At the Oregon state insane asylum, February 10, 1895, John Hutton, aged 47 years. His death was caused by pneumonia. He was received at the asylum on March 7, 1888, from this county. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at the residence of his cousin, O. D. Hutton, on High street and burial will be under the auspices of the G.A.R., of which order he was a member.

G.A.R. ATTENTION. Members of Sedgwick Post No. 10 are requested to meet on Commercial street, post-office corner, at 2 p.m. today to attend the funeral of John Hutton. A car will be in readiness. Geo. W., Davis, Post Commander.
