OBITUARY: Mrs. Jas.C. Hutton Dies At Waterloo.
Relative of Mrs. Oswald West Passes And Will Be Buried Here Today.
Mrs. James C. Hutton die at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Hardin at Waterloo, Wednesday night. Mrs. Hutton was one of Oregon’s pioneers and came here in the early fifties. She was 87 years of age and was a native of Indiana. She was a grandmother of Mrs. Oswald West, Mrs. Bea W. Olcott and H.R. Hutton of Salem. She leaves a son, Owen D. Hutton, of Portland and a daughter, Mrs. James Hardin of Waterloo. James C. Hutton (Grandfather Hutton) died about three years ago and was buried in the family lot at the Odd Fellows cemetery. Grandma Hutton will be buried beside him. The funeral will be held this morning from the Southern Pacific train which arrives in Salem at 9:30. The body will be taken directly to the Odd Fellows cemetery where a short service wll be held at the grave.

Funeral this Morning.
Obsequies over the remains of Mrs. James C. Hutton, grandmother of Mrs. Oswald West and Mrs. Ben W. Olcott, were held at the Odd Fellows cemetery this morning. The body arrived here from Waterloo, Oregon and was conveyed directly to the cemetery. Owen D. Hutton, a son of the deceased and father of Mrs. West and Mrs. Olcott, accompanied by his wife, came from Portland to attend the funeral. Mrs. James Harbin, a daughter, resident of Waterloo, also attended the services. Capital Journal 4 Apr., 1913, 8:5
