OBITUARY: 
At 1410 South Cottage street, August 18, 1914, Pearl Jayes, aged 24 years. The remains are at the Cottage undertaking parlors. Funeral announcements later. 
Daily Oregon Statesman 19 Aug 1914 8:7. 

Funeral services will be held over the remains of Pearl Jaynes [Jayes] this morning at 10 o'clock at the Leslie M.E. Church. Rev. J.C. Spencer, pastor of the church, will officiate. The burial will take place in City View [sic] cemetery.
