DEATH CERTIFICATE:
OBITUARY:
In Ashland, Sunday morning at 2:30 o'clock, October 26, 1890, Sarah, wife of Col. N. B. Knight, of this city, aged 40 years.
The deceased was the eldest daughter of Gen. and Mrs. John F. Miller of this city, and her death will be grieved by her long list of friends here, where she was a resident during the greater portion of her life.
In 1871 she graduated from the academy of the Sacred Heart with the highest honors. On the 2nd of September last she, accompanied by her family, consisting of three children, moved to Southern Oregon, under the advice of physicians here, (her health having been of a delicate nature for several years), taking up her residence in Ashland, thinking the dryer climate would restore her to a more healthful condition, and also to be nearer her husband who was engaged in the stock business in that section, but death laid its hand upon her and today she lies a corpse to be mourned by a bereaved husband and family, and numberless friends.
The funeral will take place from the residence of her parents, 146 Marion street between Livery and High, this afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Governor Sylvester Pennoyer, Hons. A. Bush, J.J. Murphy, Edw. Hirsch, Jno. G. Wright, and B. F. Bonham acting as pallbearers.
