OSBH DC (Marion County 1932) #244 - Caroline Kurtz, female, married (G. F. Kurtz), b. in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, d. 26 Mar 1932 in Salem, Oregon (R.F.D. #8 Box 63) at the age of 86 y's 3 m's 14 d's, name of father Pipper [Pfeifer] (b. Germany), mother born in Germany, interment 38 Mar, undertaker Clough-Barrick, informant Fred A. Kurtz of Salem, Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Caroline Kurtz died at the residence on route 8, Saturday, aged 86 years. Survived by widower, G.F. Kurtz, Salem; one brother, Henry Pipper of Iowa; five sons, Fred A. and E. A. of Salem, John J. of Lincoln, Neb., C. J. of San Diego, Calif., and A. J. of Woodland, Cal.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Kurtz was a native of Iowa, coming to Oregon in 1890. She had been married 68 years and was a lifelong member of the Artisan lodge and of the Methodist church. Funeral services to be held from Clough-Barrick funeral parlor Monday, March 28 at 1:30 o’clock. Reverend John Parsons officiating. Interment at Odd Fellow’s cemetery.
