DIED - June 9, 1877, at Salem, Oregon, Perry Leland, only son of J. W. and Sarah Lance, aged 21 years, 8 months and 8 days. HHe died a victor over death, and in the assured hope of the blessed of God.  To him, dying was the beginning of life.  Home and rest came to him in the morning of life.
