OBITUARY:
LARSEN OF SALEM KILLED ON SILETZ
Struck by a fragment from a broken emery wheel, Carl O. Larsen of Salem, was fatally injured in Lincoln county yesterday. The body was brought to the Clough-Barrick mortuary last night.
Larsen was operating the emery wheel at a shingle mill of the Sam's Creek Lumber company on the Siletz river about 15 miles out of Toledo. A few days previously he had injured a hand in an accident and had been advised not to work for a while. He continued, however, to work.
The fragment from the broken whell struck Larsen in the forehead. He was take to a hospital at Toledo where he died.
In Salem the Larsen home is a 1095 Norway street. He is survived by his widow, Carrie M. Larsen; a son, Roy; and three daughters, Mrs. Clinton Fields, Lois and Irene Laarsen, all of Salem.
Funeral arrangements have not been made.
