DEATH CERTIFICATE:
OBITUARY:

S. H. Lee, a Korean, who for some time past has been working for John Gong, a gardener, several miles up the river, was found yesterday morning hanging by his neck from a pole at Gong’s ranch.
Several weeks ago the Korean left the employ of Gong. Monday he returned and wanted work again, evidently having spent his money. Gong did not know whether to employ him or not and gave the Korean no satisfaction. However, yesterday morning about 6:30 the body of Lee was found hanging to a post, dead as the proverbial doornail. No arrangements for the funeral have as yet been made.
