ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTED -- Acting upon the motion of Lizzie J. Martin, widow of L. J. Martin, deceased, Judge Scott yesterday issued an order appointing Ernest Martin administrator of the estate. The legal heirs of the estate are Lizzie J. Martin, Nina W. Martin, Birdie Martin and Ernest Martin. The personal property of the estate is valued at $1200, and the real property at $4000, from which an annual rental of $250 is derived. The deceased left no will and Lizzie J. Martin, the widow, waives the rights of administratrix, asking that her son, Ernest, be appointed to that position. Mr. Martin gave bond in the sum of $3000.

OBITUARY: 

Ernest J. Martin, 83, retired warehouseman for Gunderson Bros Engineering Corp, died Saturday at his home. A native of Oregon, he had resided in Portland for 40 years. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret M.; son, John, Portland; stepson, Philip L. Wheeler, Swensen, Ore; daughter, Mrs Mary L. Fry, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and eight grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7:15 pm Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, followed by Mass at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Salem, Ore.
