OBITUARY: At the state insane asylum, Sunday, August 12, 1894, John Martin, aged 63. Deceased was committed to the asylum from Marion county on Wednesday last. The cause of his death was liver trouble. He was an old pioneer. Capital Journal 16 August 1894
