DEATH CERTIFICATE: 
OSBH states Chas. E. Bayes lived at 2085 S. Church St., Salem; died in Deaconess Hospital October 12, 1927 from bronchial pneumonia. His wife's name was Carrie. Lewis J. Bayes was the informant.
OBITUARY: 
In this City, Wednesday, October 12, Charles E. Bayes, husband of Mrs. Carrie Bayes, father of Edna Hyland, Lewis J. Bayes, J. Bayes, Phil Bayes, and Irene Atcheson of Salem, Chas. E. Bayes, Ruth Carron and Clarence Bayes of Silverton. Also survived by two brothers, Tom Bayes, of Missouri, Ben Bayes of Iowa and one sister in Iowa. Notice of funeral later from the Ridgon mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Friday from the Ridgon Mortuary.
