OBITUARY: At the Cook hotel, Salem, on the morning of Monday, July 7, 1890, Joseph McNab, aged about 40 years.
The deceased was a pattern maker and came to Salem from Portland about two months ago, and obtained work at the foundry at the penitentiary, where he worked as long as he was able. His ailment was consumption and two weeks ago he was taken to his bed since which time he gradually grew worse until death came to his relief. He had friends at Patterson, N. J.
The funeral will be conducted this afternoon at 2 oclock from the undertaking rooms of J. A. Rotan, on Commercial street, and the remains will be given interment in the Rural cemetery.
