OBITUARY: 
DIED - In this city, Monday, March 23d, 1874. Mr. Alfred Medhurst, late of Wisconsin, after a lingering illness. Mr. Medhurst, accompanied by his young wife, who for his sake left home, friends and long cherished associations, came to Oregon last fall in the hope of restoring his impaired health. Let those whose associations with the stricken wife in her season of trouble, were characterized by deeds of kindness, offer her such consolation, in this her sorest affliction, as will make their reward full. The funeral took place at 2 o’clock this afternoon.
