OBITUARY: 
Forest Brown, Jr.
VALSETZ - Forest Clinton Brown, Jr., 31, lifelong Salem resident until moving to Valsetz in the past year, died Wednesday night in an ambulance en route to a Dallas hospital.
Polk County sheriff's office reported death was caused by an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy is planned Friday.
He was born at Salem. He worked at the Boise-Cascade Plywood plant here. He was married at Salem last year.
Survivors include the widow, Gloria, Valsetz; daughter Kelly, and three stepson's, Robert, Larry and Rodney, all at home; two brothers, Wendell and Glenn Brown, both Salem; four sisters, Mrs. Lucile McIntyre, Newport, Mrs. Esther Wright, San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Helen Mulligan, Gardena, Calif., and Mrs. Jeannette Mann, Salem.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Howell-Edwards Funeral Home with interment at Pioneer Cemetery in Salem.
