Sherrie Chard supplied data on this family: "James Omby, born April 2, 1862, died at one year of age from diphtheria on Oct. 19, 1863 and is buried in the Oregon Pioneer Cemetery at Salem, Oregon. His sister, Adah Melbridge, born July 16, 1859 at Salem, Oregon, died Aug. 11, 1949 at Jefferson, Oregon and is buried in the same cemetery."

C. Epperly.
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Adah Mibridge Morrison, 90, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. C. Epperly of Jefferson, August 11, following a lingering illness. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Fisher Funeral home and will be held from the Christian church in Jefferson at a time to be announced later. Born in Salem on July 16, 1859, Adah Morrison was the daughter of William and Julia Chitwood Selph, early Oregon pioneers. She had spent her entire life in Oregon, living at Kirby for 60 years, then at Grants Pass from 1917 until 1942, since which time she had made her home in Jefferson. Mrs. Morrison was a lifelong member of the Christian church. She was also a charter member of the Rebekah lodge at Kirby; a member of post, American Legion auxiliary at Kirby, this post having been named for her son Glen who lost his life in World War I; a member of the USWV auxiliary; the VFW auxiliary, and the chapter of Gold Star Mothers, all of Grants Pass. In Jacksonville in 1875 she was married to Manoni Morrison. He died in 1906. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. S. L. Rothrock of Denver Colo., and Mrs. Epperly. Six children preceded her in death. Surviving also are 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
