DEATH CERTIFICATE:
OBITUARY:
DIED -- On Saturday April 26, 1884, at 8 p.m., at her residence in North Salem, Mrs. Millie Neal, wife of George Neal, aged about 55 years. Notice of the funeral will be given hereafter.
Oregon Statesman, 27 April, 1884, 2:3

IN MEMORY Seldom are we called to record a loss that will be so deeply felt in her family and neighborhood, as that of Mrs. Millie Neal, who died at her residence, in Salem, April 29th 1884. Unostentatious and unassuming, her unselfish, kindly disposition, and friendly manners, won the truest friendship where best known. Many a weeping neighbor feels in her loss that of a tender, loving, mother’s care. Skill and untiring love failed to hold her here, whose trust was in Jesus, who tenderly led her over life’s unquiet sea, to the peaceful shore beyond the river. She was strong in her devotion to her family and to the Christian religion. Her religion gave bias and character to her life and its highest duties. The sweet promises of the Bible cheered her death-bed. Her painful illness was borne with patience and fortitude. The family have the earnest sympathy of the community, in their sad bereavement.
