MRS. JANE NESBITT DIED IN SOUTH SALEM
Passes Away at an Early Hour yesterday 
Was a Native of Missouri and a Pioneer of 1847
The Funeral Occurs Today. 
Mrs. Jane Nesbitt, aged 74 years, 5 months, and 7 days, died at her home in South Salem at 2 a. m. yesterday after prolonged sufferings with a tumor. Mrs. Nesbitt was born in Missouri on July 25, 1827, and came to Oregon in 1847. Her maiden name was Blanton and she had been married three times, her last husband preceding her to the grave almost six years ago. Upon coming to Oregon she, with her parents, settled near this city, and has resided in the neighborhood continuously until her demise. Only two children out of ten, survive her. One is Mrs. Mary Richardson, a daughter of Amity, Oregon, and the other A. L. Shepard, a son, who resides in South Salem. The funeral services will be conducted in the Leslie M. E. church at 1 o'clock p. m. today, by Rev. R. C. Blackwell, and interment will be had in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
