OBITUARY: 

Arthur E. Oldenburg, 67, died Friday at his home, 1635 Chemawa Road NE. He had been a machinist with the State Highway Department for 23 years until leaving in 1943 for fulltime farming of property he has owned in the Keizer area since 1926. He was born in Elkton, SD, was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Salem Bible Church and Modern Woodmen of America. Survivors include his widow, Lillian B. Oldenburg, Salem; brothers Harry L., Louis and W.H. Oldenburg, all of Salem, and Walter of Vancouver, Wash; sisters Mrs Selma Phillips and Mrs M.M. Gaiser of Salem, Mrs Sadie Janosky, Nampa, Idaho, and Mrs Laura Dilling and Mrs Lydia Finkbeiner of Connell, Wash. Arrangements are pending at Howell-Edwards Funeral Home.
