Pennsylvania), maiden name of mother Eliza Sloan (b. Maryland), interment 6 Jul, undertaker Lehman & Clough, informant John Painter.
OBITUARY: 
MUMPER - Tuesday, July 4, 1911, at the home of her son, five miles north of Salem, Mrs. Ella Z. Mumper, aged 75 years.
After quietly celebrating the Fourth, Mrs. Mumper was taken suddenly ill yesterday evening. Dr. M. V. Ellis, of Salem, was called but he could do nothing for her, and she died at 9:30 last night. Her death was attributed to neuralgia of the heart. She was born in Princess Ann, Somerset county, Maryland, September 17, 1835, and crossed the plains with her parents, John S. and Eliza Sloan Zieber, in 1851, coming directly to Oregon. She had been living north of Salem for a good many years. She was married to Robert M. Painter in 1857, who died in 1868. in 1882 she was married to M. L. Mumper. She is survived by five children, Robert Painter, of Walla Walla, Washington; Phillip Painter, John Z. Painter, Zulette Z. Painter, and Mrs. Octavia Nolan, all of Salem, and two stepchildren, C. F. Mumper and W. A. Mumper, both of Salem, The funeral will be held from the family home at 1:30 Thursday afternoon, Rev. Barr G. Lee will condouct the services. Burial will be made in Odd Fellows' cemetery.
