DEATH CERTIFICATE: 
OBITUARY: 

At a house in East Salem, Saturday, December 24, 1898, at 5:35 p.m., Thomas Palmer, aged 24 years, from injuries resulting from a horse kick. The deceased resided on his farm about ten miles south of town, and about four weeks ago received a kick in the abdomen from a vicious horse that ruptured one of the intestines. He underwent two operations which proved useless. He was well known in this city and vicinity, being one of the Mise-Jory party that went to the Klondike. The funeral was held today at 12:30 p.m. from the M. E. church, Rev. John Parsons conducting the services. The remains were interred in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
