OBITUARY:
The body of Mrs. L. B. Plants who died in Oakland, California, Monday, May 26, will arrive in Salem this evening and will be taken in charge by the Webb & Clough mortuary.
Mrs. Planks [Plants] left Salem two years ago after the death of her husband having been a resident here for sometime, and well-known. L. C. Planks [Plants], the only son will accompany the body here.
The deceased leaves a number of sisters, Mrs. M. J. Wilson, Salem; Mrs. Ella B. McDonald of San Jose, Cal.; Mrs. M. F. Wilson, Palo Alto, Cal.; Mrs. S. P. Garrigue, Portland, Or., Also one brother, Ben Melson of San Francisco, Cal. Funeral services will be held at the Webb funeral parlors today (Thursday) May 29 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in IOOF cemetery.
