1910 CENSUS - William A. Ray, age 49, farmer, b. California, , is enumerated with his wife of 16 years, Lori A. Ray, age 34, mother of 8 children, 7 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. North Carolina, along with Clara D., age 15, Elmer C., age 14, Verda M., age 12, Hazel W., age 10, Precious (male), age 3, and Emmet H., age 1, all born in Oregon.

DISCREPANCY - DC gives year of birth as 1860, while marker gives year of birth as 1861.
NOTE - his wife, Laura Augusta Ray is buried in lot 627

OBITUARY: 

RAY -- At Dallas, Thursday, January 24, 1918, William A. Ray, 57 years old. He is survived by relatives in Dallas, where he has lived for a year. Mrs. Ray died last February in Salem and later the husband moved to Dallas. The body will arrive from Dallas this morning. At 2 o'clock the funeral will be held from the Rigdon parlors. Rev. A. F. Lacy of the Jason Lee church will conduct the services. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows cemetery.
