OBITUARY:
AN AFFLICTED FAMILY
The family of Rev. Mr. Richardson of this city, a minister in the Christian church, has been sorely afflicted of late. About the first of December, two of his daughters were taken sick with typhoid fever and soon died, both on the same day and were buried in the same grave. Since then the stricken mother and the remaining children of the family, two sons and a daughter, have been very sick with the same fever. All are now improving except the only remaining daughter who is now very low with scarcely a hope of recovery. A E. G. Weekly Oregon Statesman 3 January 1879
