OBITUARY:
WELL KNOWN MINISTER DIES.
Rev. Wm. Robinson Passes Away Last Night at His Home in Salem.
One of Salem's well known ministers passed away last night in the person of Rev. William Robinson. Mr. Robinson had been ill with heart trouble for some weeks and, while a few days ago, there was some hope of his soon getting about again, his condition took a change for the worse and he died at 9:15 at his home on the corner of Mill and Winter streets. At 6 o'clock he walked a little about the house without the aid of the nurse but a few hours later when Mrs. Robinson was reading the scripture to him, he stated that his head pained and seeming to understand that his end had come, he remarked "I guess this will be all" turned his head to one side and passed quietly away.
Mr. Robinson was one of the best known ministers in Salem. He was always in attendance upon the sessions of the local ministerial association and was one of the active members of the same. He was a member of the local corps of the G. A. R. and prominent in the ranks. Of decided convictions on almost every question before the people and which convictions he was always ready to express he was withal a man with a great big heart. His acquaintances were many and there will be a great regret among his friends over his demise. Mr. Robinson was 85 years of age and was born at Gibson. Pennsylvania. The funeral will be from the First Presbyterian church Saturday at [missing number] o'clock.
